What microSD card should I use?
We recommend using a U3 grade of card from well known brands such as Samsung, SanDisk or Toshiba.
Why is my dashcam only staving on for 15-30 seconds and then shutting off?
The Muvi KZ-2 drive cam is designed to stay on for approx. 10-15 seconds in order to capture footage even if the power to the dashcam is lost due to the result of a crash. The 150 mAh battery is designed to keep the dashcam running for this short period of time in case of emergency.
Why wont my SD card work with my dashcam?
Ensure your SD card meets the requirements of the kx2 dashcam: U3, not exceeding 128GB of storage and from a reputable company like Samsung, SanDisk or Toshiba.
Your SD card must be formatted before use in the kz2 dashcam. In order to do this, go to camera settings on the kz2 and look for the option to format the SD card.
My Dash Cam is shutting off after 10-15 seconds.
Dashcams are not operated from the battery. It needs to stay plugged into the USB. The 10-15 seconds is designed in case their is a collision and the power cuts off.
Is the dashcam still recording when the screen is turned off whilst driving?
Yes, the dashcam is still recording after turning the screen off when driving. To turn off the screen, press the power button located on the top of the dashcam once. This will turn the screen off. This is designed to limit distractions whilst driving.
How can I transfer the footage to my computer?
To transfer footage from the Muvi KZ2 onto your PC using the USB data cable. Connect the camera to your PC and switch the camera on, your PC will recognize the camera as a third-party device use File Explorer to access the footage. Alternatively, use a microSD reader.
Why is my footage blurry and distorted?
Ensure the lens is clean and the resolution settings are correctly configured. Also, check for any protective film that needs removal.
What is the G - sensor and how does it work?
If you are involved in a collision, the G – sensor function will be triggered, this will lock the camera footage for 5 seconds before and after the incident. This footage will then be protected from being over written by the loop recording feature.
